Job Opportunity: Chief Executive Officer

Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO), a State-Owned Enterprise (SOE), is responsible for operating a power distribution network and supplying electricity to over 6.88 million consumers. LESCO is seeking a visionary, dynamic professional with proven leadership skills to serve as its Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

Core Responsibilities

The CEO will report to the Board of Directors of LESCO and will strive to achieve company objectives aligned with its vision and mission. The key responsibilities include:

Key Duties

• Manage the State-Owned Enterprise while ensuring financial and operational compliance.

• Implement strategies and policies as approved by the Board of Directors.

• Ensure efficient use of company resources and maintain compliance with statutory obligations.

The ideal candidate should possess the following:

Industry Expertise

• Strong understanding of Pakistan’s power distribution sector, including market trends, technological advancements, and operational challenges.

Leadership & Management Skills

• Ability to manage operations, resources, and human capital effectively.

• Make informed decisions and foster a positive corporate culture.

Business Acumen

• Expertise in budgeting, financial management, risk management, and business planning.

Stakeholder & Regulatory Compliance

• Ability to engage with government authorities, regulators, customers, and employees.

• Ensure compliance with NEPRA regulations and evolving industry standards.

Qualification & Experience

Educational Requirements

• Graduate Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) from a recognized institution.

• Preference will be given to candidates holding a Master’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, or Strategic Planning.

• Alternatively, membership in a recognized body of professional accountants is acceptable.

Professional Experience

The candidate must have a minimum of 25 years of experience in:

1. A Chief Executive or Senior Management position in organizations with commercial attributes.

2. Governance, finance, commerce, or marketing at a senior management level.

3. Board-level governance in a professional institute or as a head of department.

The candidate must also meet the Fit & Proper Criteria as per the State-Owned Enterprise Act, 2023.

Remuneration, Age & Contract Period

• Salary & Allowances: Market-based.

• Maximum Age Limit: 62 years (on the closing date of advertisement).

• Contract Duration: 3 years, subject to annual performance evaluation based on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
