Introduction:

The​‍​‌‍​‍‌ Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) is looking for a Chief Supply Chain Management Officer with a high level of skill and a long supply chain management background. It is a top senior leadership position of a leader who can efficiently guide the entire supply chain and procurement department of one of the largest power distribution companies in Pakistan. The appointed person will be the one who maintains the smooth and lawful purchase of the necessary equipment and services that keep power running for millions of consumers. This is a very influential contractual position with a remunerative package on offer to a master’s degree holder with more than 15 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

The Chief Supply Chain Management Officer will be the person in charge of the leadership of the supply chain unit. The major work undertaken by him/her includes:

• Designing and executing of LESCO’s supply chain plan.
• Overseeing procurement that obeys PPRA rules and company practices.
• Supervising purchasing of all kind of material, consumables, and services.
• Conducting inventory control and orchestrating logistics for allowing the distribution of goods at a reasonable price.
• Projecting the supply chain department’s successful utilization of ERP software.
• Communication of the heads of other departments and continuously modifying the supply chain framework.

Qualification & Experience

Education:

• Master’s degree (MBA/MS) in Management Sciences, giving preference to Supply Chain Management or Operations Research from an HEC-recognized university.

Certification:

• Supply chain certification from a reputable institution will be a great plus.

Experience:

• Post-qualification experience of at least 15 years, among which 5 years should be at the senior-level in a large private or government organization, specifically involved in the procurement of large inventories.

Age Limit

• Maximum 57 years of age at the time of the application deadline.

Remuneration & Contract

Salary:

• A package that is competitive in the market, and the details will be sorted out by the Board of Directors deciding on the applicant’s credentials and experience.

Contract Period:

• The first agreement of 3 years with renewal options available if the performance appraisal against KPIs is satisfactory.
